All you want is a luxurious shower experience, but for better or worse, that requires becoming a temporary expert on topics like water pressure and flow rate. To help you out, we’ve done the research on a few key dual showerhead aspects that you should know about.

Water Pressure

Time and again you’ll see water pressure come up as either a big plus for a showerhead or a major complaint. In the FAQ above, we touched on what affects your water pressure, but we’ll dig deeper here. In reality, using two showerheads at once absolutely can reduce your water pressure. Some will only experience a minor reduction, while the difference may be more noticeable for others. If you have a well, for example, installing a dual showerhead may exceed your well’s output capacity, causing a drop in water pressure. Likewise, the standard pipe size can’t always accommodate the water needs for two showerheads. In situations like these, you may need to pursue more extensive renovations to get the pressure you want. It’s worth mentioning that many reviewers of the products we listed here mention no problems with water pressure, so poor pressure is not a guarantee.

Water Flow Rate

One of the criteria we included for the dual showerheads in this list was water flow—but how exactly is water flow defined and what do different flow rates mean?
